Chinese companies are interested in importing wine and oil from Bulgaria, and are looking for investment opportunities in Bulgaria. This became clear during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Economy Alexander Manolev and Ms. Wu Zhongqiong, Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province. She is on an official visit to the country at the head of a business delegation.

Due to the high interest of the business from the province to Bulgaria, it was agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and Jiangxi Province. Vice Governor Wu Zhongqiong suggested that this be done in May during the largest trade fair in Central China, which the province will host, and expressed hope that it will include the first concrete projects that the two countries are implementing.

The meeting at the Ministry of Economy was also attended by the Deputy Governor of the Sofia Region Nikolay Nikolov.
