The Union of Producers and Employers in Armenia will assist Bulgarian companies in establishing contacts with partners on the ground and realizing trade between the two countries. This is done by virtue of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Bulgarian Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen, signed in the presence of Deputy Minister of Economy Alexander Manolev.

The Bulgarian Deputy Minister also met with the Chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen Arsen Ghazaryan. The two discussed the possibility of offering Bulgarian products in Armenian food chains. The organization of a bilateral business forum in Bulgaria was also agreed.

In Armenia, Deputy Minister Alexander Manolev also met with the Minister of Economic Development and Investment of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan. The meeting focused on the policy for the development of relations, both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the EU policy for the development of relations with the Caucasus region and the Black Sea coast.

Deputy Minister Alexander Manolev also took part in the Working Group on Trade and Economic Activity within the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation. During the meeting, opportunities were discussed to expand bilateral ties, diversify goods in bilateral trade, increase exports, encourage investment and more.

The Bulgarian delegation was led by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rosen Zhelyazkov, and included nearly 30 Bulgarian companies.
